About Motion Films | Brand Films & Motion Content | Brand 9 (Since 1986)

Long-form, narrative-grade brand films built end-to-end at Brand 9 — original concept, original art direction, original frame-by-frame motion, mastered in 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1. The film our 40-year anniversary opens with is the reference build.

Motion Films — long-form, narrative-grade brand films built like our signage: from raw idea to finished story, every frame cut on the shop floor. A Motion Film is the cinematic counterpart to a monument — the piece you hang at the front of a homepage, drop into a pitch deck, or run on the lobby wall behind the reception desk. It is not a stock-footage edit. It is original direction, original art, original score, scaled to 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1 in the same delivery so the film travels everywhere your audience lives.

Case 01 · Brand 9 Ninth Street — A 40-Year Story Told in 50 Seconds

For our own 40-year anniversary release we wrote, art-directed, and built a 50-second narrative film tracing the arc from a backyard toy rocket in a ninth-street side yard to a multi-stage rocket leaving the atmosphere — the metaphor of how a sign shop becomes an empire. Every frame is a hand-rendered painterly composition in our locked Ninth Street artist style: thick impasto brushwork, Riot Red graffiti accents, Mark Rothko color-field horizons. Ten Runway Gen-4.5 image-to-video plates, kinetic typography per beat, mastered at 1920×1080 and a 1080×1920 mobile cut for vertical surfaces.

The film opens our homepage. It runs autoplay, muted, looping — the new front door of the brand. The same master is sliced into a Hero Beat short, a Childhood Loop, an Empire Loop, and a Brand Mark stinger for paid social.

What a Brand 9 Motion Film Includes

  • Concept & story arc — written by our brand strategy team, structured in beats the way a sign system is structured in faces and edges.
  • Original art direction — locked palette, locked typography, locked render style. No stock footage. No template motion graphics.
  • Frame-by-frame keyframe rendering — every beat anchored on a still rendered in the brand’s artist style, then animated.
  • Image-to-video motion plates — Runway Gen-4.5 and Higgsfield-driven motion, hand-prompted per beat for content control, not auto-generated.
  • Kinetic typography — copy lines composed per beat with proper font hierarchy, fade timing, and visual weight.
  • Color grade + master out — final pass at 1920×1080 H.264 plus a 1080×1920 mobile cut and a 1:1 social cut from the same master.
  • Audio score brief — sound-design brief written for a composer or licensed score, scored to your beat structure.
  • Distribution kit — homepage embed code, OpenGraph share frame, social-platform-specific micro-cuts, and a posting rollout schedule.

Where a Motion Film Lives

Homepage hero. Investor pitch decks (slide one, the moment you open the deck). Trade-show booth wall. Reception lobby loop. LinkedIn announcement. Connected-TV pre-roll. Internal all-hands. The same film, cut to fit every surface — because we build the master and the cuts together, not after the fact.
