Cast plaques are poured in lead-free bronze or aluminum, with raised letters and borders that have real depth, so they are the classic choice for dedications, memorials and building plaques. Precision-tooled plaques are cut from a solid plate of lead-free bronze, brass or aluminum: crisp, single-level raised letters on a textured, painted background, and the most cost-effective metal plaque. Etched plaques are chemically etched into stainless steel, bronze or brass and paint-filled, which holds the finest detail and small text, on a smooth plate with no texture. Photo relief plaques are cast with your photo sculpted into the metal, and seal plaques are round castings of your own seal or emblem.

Each plaque is priced by its width and height and the metal. Sizes between the listed sizes are priced at the next size up, so a 27 × 16 inch plaque is priced as 28 × 16. The price includes a standard border, the background texture, a brushed finish, one background color and an artwork proof. Polished, buffed, oxidized and flash bronze finishes and the sculpted border add a percentage; a decorative border, painted raised letters, a full-color image, posts, stakes, stand-offs and a drilling pattern add a set amount. Rectangular plaques from 2 × 2 inches up to 72 inches on a side, in quarter inches, where the metal is made that large: etched plaques go to 36 × 72, precision plaques to 40 inches high and 64 inches wide in bronze and brass, and cast plaques larger still. Round cast and precision plaques come from 5 to 36 inches across. Photo relief plaques are made from 8 × 8 up to 24 × 36 inches, and round seal plaques from 10 to 48 inches across (sculpted relief 16 to 40 inches). Plaques 36 inches and larger ship as oversize.

Every line can have its own font and size; the designer sets the text from the real letter shapes, centers it and fits it inside the border, and tells you if a line would be too small to cast or tool cleanly.

A seal plaque is a round casting of your city, company or organization seal or emblem, in flat or sculpted relief. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP file of the photo or artwork; seals are made only from artwork you supply and have the right to reproduce. An 18 × 12 inch bronze photo relief plaque is $1,596.00, and a 24 inch flat relief bronze seal is $2,631.00, plus shipping.

On a wall, choose concealed threaded studs, screws with decorative rosettes in the corners (cast and precision), screws through the plate (etched), or decorative stand-offs that hold a precision or etched plaque 3/4 inch off the wall. Indoors, precision and etched plaques can use double-face tape. In a garden or a lawn, cast and precision plaques mount on black aluminum garden stakes or on a 6 or 8 foot post. Cast plaques can also have a post cap mount cast in, for a round post (up to 30 by 30 inches, cap only or with a 7 or 8 foot post), or stand on two square steel posts: a back mount for a single-sided plaque, or a side mount with a finished back for plaques over 900 square inches. Studs need etched metal 1/8 inch or thicker; thinner etched plaques use screws, stand-offs or tape. Add a full-size drilling pattern for $40 up to 23 inches, or $80 larger.

Yes. Cast, precision and etched plaques are made for indoor and outdoor use. Two choices are indoor only: the flash bronze finish on aluminum, and double-face tape, so the designer turns both off when you choose Outdoors.

After you approve the artwork proof, plan on about 13 business days for etched plaques, 17 for cast plaques and 20 for precision-tooled plaques before it ships, then 3 to 5 business days by ground. The designer shows the time for your choices before you order.

You approve the design here, with the size, metal, finish, colors and every line of text. Then you get one artwork proof of the finished plaque to check spelling, spacing and layout, and production starts once you approve the proof.
