Questions
Metal prints, answered
How much does a metal print cost?
Each price includes the shadow wall mount and a hanging kit: 12 × 12 in, set of 4 $117.30; 24 × 24 in $151.30; 18 × 36 in $168.30; 36 × 18 in $168.30; 24 × 36 in $178.50; 36 × 24 in $178.50. Shipping is free by UPS Ground. Ordering 2 or more of the same print lowers the price of each.
What is a dye-sublimated metal print?
Your image is printed on transfer paper, then pressed into a 1.15 mm aluminum panel with heat: that is dye sublimation. It gives vibrant color and sharp detail, with a gloss finish.
How does a metal print hang?
Each print comes with a shadow wall mount already on the back and a hanging hardware kit. The mount holds the print 20 mm off the wall, so it seems to float with a shadow behind it, and there is no frame.
Can a metal print hang outdoors or in a bathroom?
The warranty is lifetime, indoor use. Hang it indoors; for outdoor signs, see aluminum signs in the shop.
What sizes do metal prints come in?
Six: a set of four 12 × 12 in squares, 24 × 24 in, 36 × 18 in or 18 × 36 in, and 36 × 24 in or 24 × 36 in. The first number is the width.
What is in the 12 × 12 set of 4?
Four 12 × 12 in metal prints, each with its own shadow mount and hanging kit. Hang them as one picture split across four panels, or as four separate pictures.
Will my photo look sharp at that size?
Vector Studio checks your file as soon as you upload it and tells you the largest size it stays sharp at, so you know before you order. Keep the important parts of the picture a little in from the edge; the studio shows the trim line. Upload PDF, SVG, PNG, JPG or WebP; EPS, AI, TIFF, PSD and iPhone HEIC files are converted for you. Vector PDF, SVG, EPS and AI files are best. Files up to 60 MB.
How fast can I get a metal print?
Metal prints are made in 2 business days after proof approval, then ship free by UPS Ground. You see and approve a proof in Vector Studio first. Business days are Monday to Friday; orders placed by 2 pm Eastern start that business day, and holidays do not count.
Is a metal print a good gift?
Yes, for a wedding, an anniversary, a graduation or a new home: a family photo or a favorite place, printed on metal and ready to hang with the mount and kit included.
Do I pay sales tax on metal prints shipped outside Florida?
No Florida sales tax is charged on orders shipped outside Florida. Orders delivered in Florida include 7.5% Florida sales tax (6% state tax plus the 1.5% county surtax), shown in the cart before you pay.
Can I return metal prints?
Each order is custom-made to the design you approve, so all sales are final. If an order arrives damaged, Brand 9 files the claim with the carrier and works toward a refund or an expedited reorder. The full policy is on the Shipping and Returns page.
