Dimensional letters, plaques and signs, answered

How long do dimensional letters, plaques and signs take?

After you approve the artwork, flat cut letters ship in about 10 to 11 business days, ADA signs in about 10 to 20, nameplates in about 16, metal plaques in about 13 to 20, blade signs in about 19 to 20, boat name letters in about 10 to 18, and building letters in about 13 to 28 depending on how they are made and lit. Ground delivery follows, usually 3 to 5 business days, so plan on about 2 to 6 weeks in all. Each product page lists the time for every option before you order.

What is the difference between building letters and flat cut letters?

Building letters have depth: fabricated metal, cast aluminum or bronze, or formed plastic, from about 3/8 inch to 6 inches deep, and many of them can be lit. Flat cut letters are cut from a solid sheet of acrylic, metal or PVC, 1/8 inch to 1-1/2 inches thick for most materials, with a flat face, and start at a lower price. For a lobby wall or an office, flat cut letters are the usual choice; for a lit storefront or a building facade, choose building letters.

Which ones can be lit?

Building letters can be face-lit, halo-lit, side-lit or faux neon, blade signs can be face-lit on one or both sides, and boat name letters come halo-lit in 316 stainless. Lit products are priced with their LEDs and power supply. Flat cut letters, plaques, nameplates and ADA signs are not lit.

Can they go outdoors?

Building letters, blade signs and boat name letters are made for outdoor use. Metal plaques, ADA signs and solid acrylic and metal flat cut letters go indoors or outdoors on threaded studs. PVC and laminated flat cut letters, double-face tape and some nameplate materials are indoor only; each product page says which.

Do I need artwork, and will I see a proof?

No artwork is needed. Type your lettering and choose a font, or upload your logo, and the designer on each product page lays it out and prices it. You approve the artwork before anything is made, and building letters, plaques and nameplates also go through one artwork proof before production.

Can Brand 9 install them?
